Xmas Cash Slot Review

Xmas Cash is a 3 reel, 9 payline slot made by developers Eyecon. It is a Christmas-themed slot and feature images and symbols that reflect this. There are six base game symbols in total, each represented by a different festive character or object, including; Santa, Rudolph, a snowman, a stocking, a Christmas pudding and a snowflake. The wild is displayed as a blue tile with the games logo embossed on it. The scatter symbols are shown as a Christmas Tree for the Prize Pick round and Bells for the free spins mode.

Visuals and Paytable

This may be a Christmas slot, but it's got some very retro visuals and is almost set up like a classic-themed game. For starters, the three-reel layout is very reminiscent of old school fruit machines, with a hint whimsical cartoons thrown in. Instead of the shades of red we normally see in Christmas slots, the dominant colour here is green, and it is styled in such a way that it looks like you are playing on a Christmas tree. Outside of that, there isn't too much going on in all honesty. The animations are all standard fare and the game never really innovates on the graphics front.

Symbols are like Christmas presents though, they can be wrapped up beautifully, but it’s what’s inside that counts and by that we mean the value! There are some big wins to be found here, with the wild rewarding a huge 1000x your stake multiplier if you land three of them. Of the base game symbols, the most valuable is Father Christmas, who will award a value equivalent to 300x your stake. Rudolph is the last to offer a three-digit multiplier and is valued at 100x. The snowman will grant 20x, while the stocking offers half that at 10x. The least valuable is the Christmas pudding and the snowflake, which are worth 2x and 1x respectively. The Xmas Cash RTP is 90.740%. 

Bonus Features

Prize Pick Bonus

This bonus is triggered by landing the Christmas tree scatter symbols three times on the reels. You will be taken to a new screen where the Prize Pick takes place and given three attempts. Each of these can yield rewards, which come in the form of multipliers and can reach a whopping 111x your stake.

Free Spins

If you land three of the bell scatter symbols anywhere on the reels, you will trigger the free spins round. You will receive eight spins and, for the entire duration of the bonus, any wins you get will be subject to a 3x multiplier, so the payout is tripled! Additionally, this feature can be re-triggered through the same criteria up to 15 times, so you could end up with even more free spins.

Gamble Feature

Xmas Cash features a gamble feature that will allow you to wager your payout for a chance at doubling it. You will be given two options and asked to pick one. If correct, you will walk away with the boosted payout, but guess wrong and you will leave with nothing. You can re-activate this feature up to five times, so you could end up with a few big wins if you’re lucky.

Eyecon is known for making straightforward slots with simple mechanics and features. Xmas Cash follows this archetype, so if you want all the bells and whistles in your slots, this might not be the game for you.
