Eye of Horus

Ancient Egypt is not only one of the most famous periods in world history, but it also saw one of the greatest and wealthiest empires there has ever been – here’s hoping they have some of those riches to share in the Eye of Horus slot! This game is developed by the folks over at Blueprint Gaming and spans across three rows of five reels and offers ten paylines that can be played from just 10p per spin.

First things first, let’s talk graphics. Whilst this might not be the most high-end slot in terms of visuals, it has a classic style that puts you in mind of the slot machines you’d see in an old-fashioned brick and mortar casino. The art design itself is fairly simplistic, with the typical sandstone background and coloured accents feature the typical blues, purples and gold’s that you associate with the civilisation. As you’d expect, all the symbols revolve around various aspects of Egyptian culture: scarab beetles, palm trees and ankh roses; eagles, jackals and, of course, the Eye of Horus symbol itself – the most valuable on the board. As well as your standard card values, you will also find your bonus symbols, but we’ll talk about those shortly.

One of the best parts about this game is how the lowlighting of the entombed background and authentic cultural music makes this feel like an immersive experience all-round. All in all, this is a compact little slot The Eye of Horus RTP is a healthy 96.31% and with spins from just 10p, this is the satisfying slot filled with plenty of nostalgia and plenty of coins to be won. Hopefully, they’ll flow toward you like the fertile waters of the Nile!

As discussed already, this is slot is short, sweet and simple, with the same approach being taken to its bonuses. There is only one standalone bonus round, but not only is it a staple in the world of online slots, but it is supplemented by two more bonus features that help increase your potential winnings even further. Here they are:

Free Spins

As mentioned, this is the only outright bonus round, but what slot is complete without free spins? This feature is triggered by simply landing three or more of the golden tomb scatter symbols, which will earn you 12 free spins.

During this round, any wilds which land on the reels will award an extra spin, as well as upgrade your lowest value picture symbols to the next most valuable symbol in the pay table.

Your wildcard symbol for this game is the Egyptian god who gives his name to this slot himself, Horus. Like so many wilds, he acts as a substitution symbol to help you complete those winning combinations – not to mention upgrading symbols during free spins.

Gamble Feature

Last but by certainly no means least, we have the Gamble feature, which is essentially a double or nothing choice. Each win can be put back in play by using the playing card symbol that appears on the left-hand side and, should you be lucky enough, you can successfully double your money up to five times.

This small collection of bonus features may be modest, but they offer unique innovations and twists on classic aspects from our favourite slot machines, giving this game plenty of reliability.

How to Play

Like any other classic 3x5 reel set up, the Eye of Horus slot machine is super easy to play: simply land three or more identical symbols on an active payline to create a winning combination; the more matches you make, the bigger the win.

In terms of the interface, things are just as simple. On the left-hand side of the screen, you will find your single control for increasing and decreasing your total stake amount. Once this is adjusted to your liking, your total amount of credit, number of bet lines and total stake will be displayed along the bottom of the screen.

On the right-hand side, you will find your main spin button, as well as your auto-play function, which you can set to have both win and spin limits.

Lastly, your active paylines are displayed along either side of the game board and can be overlaid on the reels by simply hovering over them. Other than that, the only other icon of interest is your advanced settings – the three lines in the bottom right-hand corner – where you can adjust all audio-visual settings and consult a full list of rules and the paytable.

Once you’re comfortable with everything and have your total stake set to the desired amount, you should be about ready to spin – just make sure that Bucky is the next place you play the Eye of Horus slot online. Enjoy!
