Just reward for bingo player
It's always great to hear about a bingo fan who finally wins big after years of playing the game they love.
Well, that's exactly what has just happened for a Cumbrian lady called Rosie Murphy, according to the News & Star local newspaper.
After years of visiting her local bingo club in Workington every week without fail, Rosie got her big break while playing a session of the National Bingo Game at the very end of last month.
She was thrilled to see the numbers match up perfectly with her bingo ticket, meaning she was able to call house on just 43 numbers.
A £15k bingo jackpot
When the result was confirmed, it turned out that Rosie had won the Regional Zone prize as well as a third share of the National Bingo Game prize - a whopping total of £15,000.
She said: "I didn't know how much I had won at first but I didn't expect that much. I am delighted, I was so excited on the night, but I've calmed down a bit.
"My family are delighted for me. You don't expect something like that to happen."
There were also plenty of smiles around her table because Rosie opted to split her big-money bingo jackpots with two friends who regularly accompanied her to the club.
And the remainder of her winnings will be spent on her family and a big holiday later in the year.
Many bingo players choose to spend their winnings on a lavish overseas trip.
Last month, for example, Hounslow bingo fan Lynda McNamara scooped a £3,906.25 jackpot and immediately revealed that she would treat her grandchildren to a holiday in Disneyland.
