A big round of applause to you all
The generosity of our online bingo players has been underlined yet again.
You may remember that last year Bucky and Buckingham set an ambitious target to raise funds for a leading breast cancer charity.
In the first 12 months alone, we vowed to donate £20,000 to Breakthrough Breast Cancer - a pioneering charity saving lives and changing futures through research, campaigning and education - removing the fear of breast cancer for good.
Well, today we're pleased to announce that this goal has been passed ahead of schedule - the current total stands at £20,091 and we're not finished yet!
Power to the people
Of course, we could not have done this without the support of our loyal members.
Time and again, our land-based and online bingo players have shown a willingness to dip into their own pockets to support the fight against breast cancer.
This reached its peak in the week beginning October 18th 2009, designated Bingo for Breakthrough Week, when bingo operators across the country went on a hugely successful fundraising drive.
To take just one example, Buckingham Bingo Preston raised more than £2,300 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer through a surreal combination of sumo cycling, male leg waxing and special bingo games.
But we should point out that players have been giving generously at our charity events all year round.
That's why we'd like to say a big thankyou to everyone who has taken part in our Breakthrough Breast Cancer fundraisers and an even bigger thankyou to everyone who came along and made a donation.
It just goes to confirm our belief that Bucky and Buckingham have the best bingo communities in the UK.
