Bingo player breaches Asbo with loud country music
A bingo fan has been hit with a fine after breaching his antisocial behaviour order (Asbo).
Michael O'Rourke from Peterhead violated the terms of his Asbo for being a noisy neighbour after he was found to be playing his records too loud.
The 51-year-old country music fan played his Dolly Parton albums at an inappropriate volume, much to the annoyance of those living near him. However, O'Rourke insists he was listening to them at such a high volume because he is partially deaf. He has also accused his neighbours of "being vindictive" towards him.
This isn't the first time O'Rourke has been in trouble for being too loud, as he has previously been banned from a local bingo club for shouting 'house' at a volume considered to be unacceptable.
While online bingo fans may be able to relate to O'Rourke's winning reaction, it would appear that his music sessions were considered the last straw.
Neighbour Gail Wedderburn told The Scotsman that "he played his music very loud". She said:
"It was awful for the neigbours. Something has to be done about it. It wasn't good for everyone having to listen to the noise night and day."
Bucky Bingo to shout about
This month's Bucky competition to win an Apple iPad is certainly something to shout about.
Bucky players can enter the competition by simply depositing and staking £20 over the course of August. They then enter a prize draw to win the device, which allows you to watch movies and surf the net with innovative touch-screen technology.
