Cole hands out bling during girlie night in
Cheryl Cole is treating the wounds left by her split from husband Ashley Cole by giving away her jewellery. The 26-year-old handed out items given to her by Ashley during a recent girls' night in, admitting that a lot of the pieces were not to her taste.
Singer Cole, who played bingo with other celebrities at Gary Barlow's recent anniversary bash, gave a number of bits of jewellery to her supportive mother Joan.
However, Cheryl is still staying in the couple's Surrey home, although she will be handing it over as part of the divorce settlement she put in motion last week. A source close to the star said that Cheryl is looking to make a clean break after the trauma of the split.
"She has closed that chapter of her life so she wants rid of a lot of the things they have accumulated," the informant added.
Shoulder to cry on
Cole has reportedly been spending a substantial amount of time with professional dancer Derek Hough. Hough, an American, is staying at her Surrey mansion in a separate bedroom and has been her 'rock' as the split has developed.
