The Rainbow Riches franchise from Barcrest is one of the most successful slot series to ever be conceived, and they don’t stop when it comes to rejuvenating their much-beloved, Irish-themed game. The Rainbow Riches: Reels of Gold RTP can range from 94%, all the way up to an impressive 98%, depending on which phase you’re in, and this can all be played for from as little as 10p.

As you might expect, there’s lots of the classic Irish tropes and imagery carried over from other Rainbow Riches titles in this game – including your lucky leprechaun. However, the visuals for this slot do differ here and there: there’s lots more gold, in case you didn’t guess from the name, and because of the 5x12 set of additional reels (we’ll touch on that later), the screen is much busier.

A World Full of Wilds

In Rainbow Riches: Reels of Gold, you have not one, not two, but three different wildcard features that you can trigger. Your wild symbol for this slot is the game logo itself, so be sure to keep an eye out for it, as you may lead to any one of the following features:

Super Stacked Wilds – This first wild feature sees our fairy friend her wand over the main board, causing one or more reels to be filled with stacked wild symbols (the transfer to the 5x12 grid still happens in this bonus round too).

Magic Wilds – Magic Wilds appear on both sets of reels and scroll vertically until they lock into position and turn the rest of the symbols on that reel into wilds.

Wild Burst – This one sees the fairy return to wave her wand and send butterflies landing on both sets of reels sets and whatever symbols they land on are turned into wilds as well.

Big Bet Feature

The Big Bet feature might be familiar if you have played Barcrest games before and they make a return here with Reels of Gold. With this feature, line up balloon bonus symbols and you can win up to 50 free spins in total.

During these free spins, you can win between £10 and £25, as well as the chance to collect expanding wilds and even more free spins. It is during this phase that the Rainbow Riches: Reels of Gold RTP increases to 98%, meaning your chances just got that little bit better.

Reach the Pot of Gold

As the saying goes, if you reach the end of the rainbow, there'll be a pot of gold waiting for you at the end. How to Play

The Rainbow slot has a fairly different manner of playing due to the two sets of reels, meaning that you have extra reels and rows to create winning combinations, with many transferring from the main board on to the colossal reels.

The layout of this interface is also slightly different. You will still find your controls for adjusting your stake on the bottom navigation, but all your other essential controls – primary spin, information and Big Bet buttons – displayed on a large panel down the right-hand side.
