Britain's Got Talent returns
Bucky Bingo fans will either sigh in relief or shake their heads in despair now that Britain's Got Talent is back on the air.
The light entertainment variety show, in which contestants vie for a spot performing at the Royal Variety Show, has seen plenty of wacky and crazy characters grace its stage over the years. However, it hasn't yet had the Bucky bingo treatment. Here are some interesting facts about the programme:
10 - Susan Boyle is the biggest success story of Britain's Got Talent. Her album has sold in excess of 10 million copies and she even performed at President Barack Obama's inauguration!
3 - The three-person judging panel has changed over the years. Kelly Brook was briefly in one of the hot seats, while Piers Morgan and show deviser Simon Cowell also took on judging roles. This year's talent tsars are David Hasselhoff, Amanda Holden and Michael McIntyre.
1 - It can be lonely on that stage if things aren't going well, as comedienne-wannabe Elaine Williams can attest. After her performance didn't exactly set the world on fire, she muttered an expletive and stormed off!
12 - 12-year-old contestant Shaheen Jafargholi impressed Michael Jackson, and was asked to perform at the late singer's O2 concerts. However, after Jackson died, Jafargholi had to make do with a spot at the funeral instead.
