Bingo fans flock to Corrie stage show
Online bingo fans have been rushing to buy the hottest ticket in town as Corrie!, the theatre production of soap-favourite Coronation Street, hit theatres in Manchester this week.
The production, which condenses the entire 50-year run of the ITV soap into two hours, has been critically acclaimed by theatregoers and online bingo members lucky enough to catch early performances of the play.
Actor Johnny Briggs, who plays the infamous Mike Baldwin, admitted he was a "bit worried about what it was going to be like", although stated that the final production was "absolutely fantastic."
Many Bucky Bingo players are massive Corrie fans and fans have frequently speculated about the fate of some of the series' most beloved characters in the online bingo chatrooms.
Bingo: the play?
Of course, the idea of a Coronation Street stage show has got our imagination's working overtime here at Bucky Bingo and we can't help but feel that everyone's favourite game should get the chance to tread the boards in a play sometime in the future.
Indeed, we think that a play based around a popular UK online bingo website would be quite popular with the West End crowd. The tale would follow a bunch of talkative chatroom players who enjoyed an evening session of bingo in their favourite purple-themed club!
Of course, the stage show would have to feature some exciting characters and we can think of no better inspiration for the fictional tale the amazing online bingo moderators here at Bucky. Indeed, the story would follow these moderators as they congratulated plucky members for massive cash wins, or awarded thrilling bingo bonus prizes (like a £1,000 holiday voucher or iPad).
Of course, the online bingo play would have to have a happy ending and the show would finish with one lucky winner claiming up the Bingo Bonanza jackpot. How's that for a happy ending?
