Cheryl peril?
Picture the scene. You've just landed a dream job that will set you up for life and, perhaps best of all, give you an excuse to mix with the glitterati in Hollywood. Congratulations!
The only drawback is that you might not be able to bring along your beloved pets.
That's the dilemma facing bingo fan Cheryl Cole, who recently landed a plum role as a judge on the forthcoming American version of X Factor. It promises to be a wonderful career move, and Cheryl plans to follow in the footsteps of X Factor creator Simon Cowell by moving to the US specifically LA.
Quarantine fear for pampered pooches
However, US customs officials are notoriously strict when it comes to allowing foreign animals into the country. That means heartache may be in store for Cheryl, who is dearly attached to her pet Chihuahuas Coco and Buster. According to the Sun, Cheryl is adamant that she won't leave England without them and has asked pal Derek Hough to come up with a solution.
A source said: "Cheryl wants her dogs to go straight from plane to home. If need be, she'll get a private jet. She's told Derek to look into micro-chipping and doggy passports but is refusing to put them in quarantine."
It may surprise you to learn that Cheryl Cole has dabbled in a spot of bingo in the past. In January, she played some games with a host of other celebrities including Chris Moyles, Ronan Keating and Alesha Dixon during the tenth wedding anniversary of Gary Barlow and wife Dawn. Cheryl even got a full house!
Meanwhile, the rumour mill has it that the Girls Aloud star will be joined on the American X Factor by Nicole Sherzinger of Pussycat Dolls fame. It was thought that the show's bosses were keen to have either Cheryl or Nicole onboard. However, a source close to the deal suggests that both could go along, with the pair going head to head every week.
